Small lift with stock sized tires?
I almost need my '89 EZgo marathon to sit alittle higher to get on my trailer and also around in the fields. I don't really want to get larger tires. That way I can try and keep the stock travel distance out of it(it's an 36volt). Does anyone have pics of their carts with a 4" lift? I think thats the smallest lift there is for the marathon right?

If you keep the stock tires you won't gain any ground clearance, between the body and ground but not the axle and ground.

Re: Small lift with stock sized tires?
Well... as the cart sits right now it gets body hung(actually the brake pedal) on my trailer. I'm not planning on going through deep mud or over big rocks. I just want a little more ground clearance for the body. I need new tires... can I fit any larger tire than an 18" on stock height. I know I said I didn't want bigger tires. But if I can kill 2 birds with one stone. My body is pretty rough on my cart also. So I probably wouldn't be afraid to get the old redneck fender trimmers out (sawzall).

Ya might could get 20" tires under it. Specially if ya don't mind trimmin' a bit.

You could also space the leaf springs on the front where they bolt to the frame.

Re: Small lift with stock sized tires?
most carts will accept 20 inch tires without any issue. that is a pretty good upgrade that i do here at the shop

On the ezgo 20s will rub, I tried it.... Yes I have pics ... gimme a minute. Dragging when loading can be cured with longer ramps too.

This 70s Melex is a copy of your ezgo... the tires are stock size tractor lugs in the rear. We used this on the ranch for years....
