Default First ezgo txt restore... California Golf Carts

So we started with the plan of NOT modifying it too much - mostly just make pretty and ready for beach community... We ended up doing a lot! It is a 1996 that was abandoned and dead - metal body - 4 flat tires - no motor - no controller... Now has 48v TCT, 6” lift, stereo, back seat, lights, and has plates!!

Any suggestions for next one would be much appreciated...

Ohh yeah - goes 19-20 mph with 18” wheels....

Nice looking ride, but I'm not a fan of low profile wheels/tires on a lifted cart...

Outstanding job. I have a TXT I will be restoring soon and you have certainly set the bar high. I will try to get mine up to your standards. Again, great job.

Excellent job. I really like the color scheme. I will second "Dave in VA's" comment and say get bigger wheel and tire set up so it looks more proportional. May even provide more stability?

I also agree with both Dave and Golf Cart Man... I wanted to put 23" DOT (255/55/14) tires so that it looked more proportional - and a bit faster too...

Someone made an offer before I got to put my last little finishing touches and they wanted the 10" low pro tires... It also has onboard QuiQ charger and I think you can see the pretty cool plug cover on the one side - just uses a 14 gauge extension cord...

Thanks for all the support and feedback! We have picked up another junker - also a 96 TXT... Thinking it is going to look similar (have invested a big pile of $$ in that special gray paint) but have a cool half-height front windshield instead of a top... And this one will have 23" wheels - I already ordered them

23" Tires will reduce power to the wheels by 22%
