Primary and Clutches hitiing with new belt
I have just installed a new V belt for primary and secondary clutch on a 1966 Harley Davidson 3 wheel golf cart. when revved up the secondary clutch hits the primary clutch and sparks fly. Can anyone tell me why this happens?
Thanks |

Re: Primary and Clutches hitiing with new belt
I had what sounds like the same issue on my 64 after a rebuild. I had used four new motor mounts, some of which were NOS, some possibly re-pops.
There seems to be very little room for play on this setup. Its possible my non-oem mounts are too soft a compound and allow too much motion. I was told by another forum member that he added extra spacers to the driver side mounts to prevent this from occurring. See here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-h...n-problem.html |
