Default PDS II, slow speed and high speed gears

I'm upgrading my shuttle 6 to 8:1 gears over this weekend. My concern is that in early December I've been asked to drive the cart in a parade. Will the slow speed over a few hours be harmful to the cart? I've read several posts regarding DCS carts being bad for hunting, because of the slow speeds, but not sure if that applies to PDS as well.

Thanks

Lifted, 23" tires but it's a shuttle with the stock 400 amp controller

if you put the stock tires on the cart for the slow go, and rig up a fan on the controller it would help

Is the main concern the overheating of the controller? I'm assuming the motor will be fine, correct?

You could install the hill chip if the controller is stock. More torque and slower top speed.

Thank you, but it's not that kind of PDS. The PDS II is a controller that is only programmable via a handheld programmer. From what I can tell it was only installed on the shuttle carts.

The motor will generate more heat with the taller gears as it will be in a high load situation all the time you are going slow. Give it a try and see how hot it gets. If it gets too hot to hold your hand on it then the parade might be out of the question.
Big tires and 8:1 = a double gear change. I hope you have improved braking capacity.
