Default 09 precedence batt config preference 48v

Ive seen two configurations the 4 12's and the 6 8's. Which is the better arrangement? Which is preferred?

6-8v is preferred . . . however, many people still use the 4-12v setup with no ill effects . . . depends on what you plan to use your cart for . . . I have 4-12v in my cart and for roaming around the campground, it is adequate . . .
