Default Lithium newb. Do you charge in the garage?

As the title says.

Do you charge in the garage with the door closed? I know this is a big no for lead acid, but whats the consensus with Lithium?

Thanks

I always charge in the garage. I do that with my Tesla also. :-)

No for Lead Acid as it produces gasses whilst charging. Not the case for Lithium. I also always charge in my garage.

Thank you both for answering. Felt like I knew this answer but needed confirmation.

Everyone I know also charges their FLA batteries in the garage. I used to before switching to Lithium. Yes you generate some H2 but I don't think it's an issue in a garage as much as it's an issue in the battery compartment. It's important not to generate any sparks near a cart that has been charging.

I normally charge to around 85% or 4.05vpc. That gives me 56.7V for the whole pack and I charge in my garage. The first two charge cycles I did outside, but I charge in the garage now.

My Eagle 48v will not charge above 54.1. Waiting on their response as to whether its a charger issue or if they consider that normal.

54.1v (3.38v per cell) is a little low for a 16S LiFePO4 battery. I would charge with at least 55.2v but under 56.8v. Are you able to turn your charger voltage up?

Not this model. It came with the Eagle kit. I might request an alternate charger. Even their literature says it should charge between 55 to 58

Is 54.1v the voltage after the charger turns off or is it the maximum it gets to while charging? If it’s the voltage it settles to after charging then it’s fine.
