My 2003 club car runs half speed
My car started running half speed all at once. I have replaced the speed sensor on the end of the motor and I have replaced the speed controller. I also bypassed the selinoid. Nothing has made any difference so far. Thanks for your help.

Going under the assumption you have an IQ model cart.
Did You do the "push" test with the new speed sensor? Does the cart offer resistance against being pushed by hand and the reverse buzzer beeps? What do You mean by "by-passed the Solenoid"? If You jumped or connected together the "big posts" on the Solenoid that will definitely force an IQ cart to run at half-speed. |

The first four digits of my serial number are AQ03
I did the push test no resistance no beeps. I put both battery cables on the same post on the solenoid |

Re: My 2003 club car runs half speed
I just noticed I replied to a "introduction" post (no technical questions here), hopefully a moderator will move this thread to the Club Car section...
Your speed sensor is not working, that happens a lot with cheap chinese speed sensors (under $30). RevolutionGolfCars.com is a site sponsor thats sells the OEM quality sensors. Do not put the big cables on the same solenoid post or the IQ cart (what you have) will malfunction. |

Quote:
This is how You test the speed sensor output: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ml#post1306092 If You by-pass the solenoid big posts the Controller automatically goes to half-speed, but that would still allow the speed sensor to work for walk-away brake, so in your case the speed sensor is not working. |
