G2 loud rear axle
why is my rear axle making a chattering noise over 10 mph? when I try pulling the secondary clutch the shaft has play, but it seems like its inside the crank case, I've had the cart for 3 years, doesn't get used that much but I wonder if i changed the crank case oil (I never changed it before but I'm sure I can figure it out) if this would solve the problem, Today I am going to work on changing the axle oil, but maybe it can be the bushing on the outside, or maybe when I reassembled the clutch I didn't have the spring in the right holes? or maybe its internal, regardless I should really change that oil, thanks for the help!

Re: G2 loud rear axle
Its kinda like a mix of chattering and growling, it does vibrate a little. I changed the oil in the gear box but it didn't help, I really didn't expect it to. When I drained the old oil it was like a greenish foam that looked like it belonged in a swamp, so I guess it really needed to be done anyway. If I don't do anything about it now and hold off for a while do you think anything else will be damaged?

Re: G2 loud rear axle
By floating flange do you mean clutches cams? or just the piece inside the sliding sheave? I replaced the sliding sheave 2 years ago and its ok, but there is a little play in the shaft. so maybe its just the spacer. i guess i could get that newer style floating flange, maybe it be better than the original with the little tab things which i have already replaced.
