Default Brought a 2002 PDS back from the dead

Bought this piece a couple weeks ago and started the transformation the same day. This is a 2002 EZ-Go PDS 36V cart. Here are the pics from when it came home:

After the removal of about 30# of dirt, a couple cans of primer and spray balm, 12X7 polished wheels with 215/30's, new Crown 8V batteries, and a 500A controller, it's alive again!

Got the body back from the painter and spent all day Monday putting it back together. Added all of the following:

Stainless: Upper seat frame, engine cover, rear bumper, rocker panels, front shock cover, sport windshield, steering column cover
GT-4 steering wheel and billet adaptor
2-tone seat covers from East Coast Custom Carts
Titanium dash cover with billet cupholder rings
Titanium seat back
2" receiver hitch

The cart was 36V, but I upped it to 48V with the Crown 8V batteries. Swapped in the 500A Alltrax controller and HD solenoid. I also picked up a DPI 48V charger, 48V volt meter. All of this on the stock motor for now. There's a HUGE difference in the performance now. Lot's more torque and plenty of speed. Next time I charge it I'll get a GPS speed, but the batteries will have only been charged 3 times, so they won't quite be broken in yet.

I'll have better pics later, that's the best I have for now.

Sweet! Did you do a speed test before the mods?

I bought the cart without batteries, so no. There are a bunch of those 36V carts at work and compared to them it's a big difference. That's what I based the comparison on in the first post.

Sharp lookin' cart!!!

I've been toying with putting a set of those backrest mounts and a sport windshield on my TXT gasser.. After seeing your cart, I'm thinking it's time for a cosmetic update..

That's a nice looking Cart! Do you have plans for the top? If not want to part with it?
