Default Electric 36 volt Ezgo. Input appreciated!!

Default Question for the brainiacs !!
My 36 volt cart ( 96 Ezgo DCS alltrax DCS 400 amp controller) when my cart sits overnight and I try to drive it, it runs fine for a few mins. Then it feels like someone reaches over and turns the key off. The it might run another 100 yds and does it again. Then it might sit there for a few mins. And take off. If suffer through this a few times and can run the cart for about 10 straight minutes it will run flawless the rest of the day. It only does this after sitting for several hours. I've checked ALL connections. The only thing I can think of is a faulty controller. BTW the motor is new.

Did it do this before you put a new motor on? Did it start doing this right after putting on the motor or is that unrelated?

It was doing it before the new motor was put in. That is why I installed the new motor, It was doing that and I was advised based on the motor being 21 yrs old that it was prob. the issue. When I installed the new motor it did the exact same thing. I am not real handy as far as checking the voltage output on the controller. But, if someone gives me directions I can follow them to see what or where the issues are.

It only does it when first running. after I get the system ( warm ) so to speak. It runs fine. The controller is an Alltrax DCX 400 amp. In my original post I had posted that it was a DCS.

Before you go replacing the controller, I'd look at some troubleshooting first. I am not an expert, but I found some links from other experts!...

There's a link in the sticky's for throttle testing:

This sticky has the wiring diagram for your DCS:

And this one looks like a more comprehensive test:
