Default Yamaha Drive2 PTV , Jakes 3" lift, with both 23" tires and 22"

Just a heads up,

I have installed the Jakes 3" spindle lift kit with 22"x14" tires, rims and also installed 23"x14" tires and rims, both fit no problem . The 23" tire was a All Terrian, and the 22" was a DOT street tire

I also have the Madjax Genesis 300 Rear seat installed

Everything bolt it up just like in the past when I installed the sender set up on my 2016 Yamaha Drive I had no problems with either tires rubbing

I did have to trim the bottom plastic trim pc, that hasn't changed

Thank you for this. Just to confirm, does yours have the independent rear suspension? I've heard that some 2016s (either gas or AC) had the IRS and some had the older suspension.

I wish Jake would come up with a long travel lift for these. That is literally all we are waiting on. Good to know that the 3" spindle lift works.

I've had the 2016 Drive PTV with AC motor, and it did not have independent rear suspension. The HD rear shocks on the 2016 with AC motor you could buy HD coils for around $80 and change them out to HD rear coil springs

The 2017 Drive2 with AC motor, also has the same set up as the 2016 model. It does not have independent rear suspension like the gas one's. Also the rear HD shocks I couldn't buy the coils, I had to buy Jakes HD rear shocks, which was the whole rear shock set with the HD rear coils on them, for around $209.00 for the pair.

The Madjax Gensis 300 Rear Seat fits good on both, however on the 2017 Drive2, The upper rear seat cushion ( deluxe seats ) doesn't fit with the rain gutters. You end up mounting the rear seat real low, otherwise the angle of the rear seat hit's the rain gutters.

Once you remove the rain downspouts off the rear struts, you can raise the top part seat back higher. Of course if your going with an aftermarket top extended roof, then you wouldn't run into this, as they don't use the rain downspouts, they just have rear struts.

Very sneaky, posting about your electric lift (without IRS) in the gas section where everyone is impatiently waiting for the IRS lift. LOL!

All 2017 GAS Yamahas have IRS, no others have it. No electrics, no 2016s.

How wide is the wheel base now with the new tires? I want to put some on my cart but I still need it to fit in my toy hauler. The front wheels will be going between the stove and pantry and has to be less than 4ft wide.

Not sure why guys are obsessed with lifting their carts. My 2021 Drive2 doesn't have a problem loaded with five adults and going over your standard street curb. Lift kits ruined the smooth ride and decreases turn radius. Even when a lift is available for IRS, at the end of the day it's for looks only at the price of performance
