Thanks JB - looks like I have some more learning to do.
Regarding #2 above. Am I assuming correctly from your comment that the DCX works with different voltages, but the solenoid may not??? I'll do a little more homework on this, as I guess it is not a straight forward answer. But, without doing a lot of voltage testing, etc. --- shouldn't I be able to "feel" if there is some resistance to coasting when going downhill??? I am not needing regen braking for the regen, only to assist with braking - and there is zero resistance now. With the older cart I could coast down some hills, without using brakes. With this cart, after one second on the same incline, I have to jump on the brakes or it just takes off. I was assuming it was the regen braking on the other cart that made the difference. Could it be something else? |
