Default Stretch Limo - Lift or Lower

Greetings,
Just picked up a 2005 Gas Club Car Villager 8 with a Cargo Box.
Now the problem.... Do I lift it, lower it, or leave it.
It will get new wheels and tires, but I am looking for suggestions.

Good question. First, I'd say it would be up to your vision of what you want it to be and what you plan to run it on (street/dirt). All "stretched" car's have turning/steering radius issues by nature. Some lifts can even compound that. Lowering (I would think) could cause the same issues. Cool project, maybe take the middle seat out and install a "bar" and add a rear facing seat/flatbed for additional seating in place of the cargo box. Just me thinking out loud. Good luck on your new toy

Thanks,
More info, this is primarily a people hauler, we have a number of bars/restaurants and marinas within 1.5 miles. All paved roads, so off road is not an issue. Cargo area may be a margarita machine, ice chest, bar area.

Sounds like a plan Depends if you like the "lifted" look, even with non aggressive tires, they'll be worn out fast by pavement, if not I'd go with some nice rims and low pro tires...a cool paint job. Tequilia will kill ya, even in a margarita...just makes me invisable and I get into trouble Great luck on your project!

Lower it. Nothing looks cooler than a lowered limo with deep wheels. If you can, add air shocks that you can adjust before/after the ride if need be. Great project.

Cool Re: Stretch Limo - Lift or Lower

My vote, Leave as is add a nice set of wheels, recliner seats and more go power. I really like the margarita machine idea, that's my perfered drink!

Get some seats that recline so when your guest are riding they will relax also. Just a thought.
I have never seen any but if your bank account allows anything is possible.

After further review, I agree.

I am looking at 12's with 19" tall tires.....

If anyone has some experience, I'd love to hear it.

This has 4 wheel mechanical brakes and I am interested in interference issues.

Nice looking stretch you have there. As far as wheels go, check the front, I think that is where you may run into problems. I havn't worked on one of those in a while, but if memory serves you may have an issue with the brakes interfering with the wheels. It may work with the correct back spacing on the wheels. Hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like you have the skinny wheels on the front. Those are on there for a reason. They fit better.

Either way, if done right it will be sweet. If I have to choose one, I am partial to big block lifted limo's. Here's mine, under construction at this time:
