Default New motor suggestions

So to start this off I have a 2000 Yamaha G16e with brand new Trojan batteries, 0AWG wiring throughout, a Fully Programmable 650 Amp Alltrax Series Controller along with a modified EZGO HD F&R switch. So here is what I am looking to do, I want to sell my AMD 7126 Raptor high speed motor and I am looking for a motor that is better suited to go down trails through the woods, I live in Florida so there are not any hills or mountains to conquer so its nothing crazy, I enjoy putting around off road. Does anyone have any suggestions on what motor would be best suited for me? Would it benefit me to sell my controller as well and go to something a little smaller? I am still relatively new to all of this and when I purchased the cart I went all out trying to find the biggest and baddest parts for it and now I found that this might not have been the best approach. Any and all suggestions is very well appreciated.

I would not even consider getting rid of your current controller, if you wish to lower the amp output, it can be programmed to do so (will make life a little easier on the controller). I am not sure what motor to suggest for torque, but the one you have is built for speed. A big controller certainly wont be a bad thing for a torque motor either.

I am aware on how to lower the amperage on the controller I just wasn't sure if it was a bit over board. Thank you for your input on this, I want something that is going to be reliable and isn't going to leave me stranded somewhere.
