Default New season, old problem

2000 Club Car DS, we bought it last year. (I haven't been online at all in some time)... When we got it, it ran good, over the next few days, it was starting hard, and would leak gas out of the overflow on the carb. I ran it around a few times, and that stopped. I figured dry seals from sitting..etc...

Fast-forward to now, we did a Jakes Long Travel over the winter, and pulled it out a couple days ago. Now it is shooting gas out of the carb, more than it seems to take in. Solid stream. I used my nearest carburetor adjustment tool (pair of old pliers) and banged on the bowl while it was squirting out, and it stopped leaking. It now has more power than ever, even with the lift and 23" tires. Goes up the driveway like a (enter your idea of good here).....

Does this sound like it was a sticking float, or junk in the needle and seat? Or do I possess the magical pair of pliers sent straight from Heaven? I haven't pulled the carb yet, but will when the rain stops. I figure a bath in the bucket of carb dunk I have, with the bowl off should help a bit. My luck with working on small engine carbs is really good, for the new carb salesmen out there- that is...

If this thing goes like this now, I'm excited about getting the clutch done, and the max-duty belt.... I knew it felt slower than I thought it should be when we got it, but now I'm pretty happy with it, for what it is.

Definitely sounds like a sticking flow pull the carb off and give it a good cleaning should be good to go
