Default 2010 Precedent Speed Upgrade

I have a 2010 Club Car Precedent I2 Excel I picked up yesterday. I would like to get it to go 19-21 MPH with a little added torque. I live about 250 miles away from my nearest Club Car dealer, so I can't go with the factory speed 4 upgrade. What are my best options?

Thank you,

Welcome to BGW!

I'm not sure completely on how the Excels work, but you could probably get a speed magnet which would get you around 20 mph...

I had the same problem. You can't change magnets on Excel carts like you can on others. Their electronics is unique. There has been many previous discussions about Excels you can find by doing a search. I decided to go with the Plum Quick Bandit motor upgrade. The folks at Plum Quick can give you all the details, but be sure to tell them you have an Excel cart. I went from 15 mph on speed code 3 to around 25 mph with only a motor change, nothing else. The motor was around 225 dollars exchange. That was almost as cheap as seeking out a dealer to program it to speed code 4.
The following links describes my experience. Good luck with your project.
