help me decide!!!
Ok, here's the deal....'05 TXT, 36v, lifted, bigger tires. Everything else BONE STOCK, except for radio, paint, etc. Eventually I will convert to 48v, but for now I have what I have. I would like to start with a new controller first, but motor upgrades will follow.
What controller do you recommend that will go with a motor later on down the road. I am looking for all around performance. I know a controller won't help for speed now, but when it all said and done I want to be able to pull the front wheels off the ground. I would like to have something that I can adjust so the little ones don't tear it up! TELL ME WHAT I WANT/NEED.....please! |

Re: help me decide!!!
I am running the Alltrax 500 amp on 48 volts and stock motor. I love it. Get a D&D motor to pull the front wheels off the ground. Mine does everthing I want it too, including pulling 2 people and three deer up a muddy hill. I cant ask for much more.

Re: help me decide!!!
I'm no expert but am learning & building. First thing is 4 gauge wire throughout. Next is a 48 solenoid & Alltrax controller. Then six 8v batteries. The first stuff will increase torque alittle & converting to 48v will give more speed.
If that doesn't give you what you want then upgrade the motor. JMO, Ross |

Re: help me decide!!!
Running 48 volts through an Alltrax 650 amp controller at 80% power to the stock 36 volt motor and really like the results. Played with different throttle settings and with the steep curve it will pull the front wheel off the ground. Top speed according to the GPS was 19-21. Not super fast but still more speed and mass than the stock rear only brakes are made to handle.
Alltrax all the way. |
