I believe that oxfordlawn has a Plum Quick motor on his cart. Perhaps he will chime in.

PQ has a pretty good rep along with EMP. Both have good customer service. Haven't heard any issues with either.
What are you trying to accomplish with the rebuild?

I cant speak to the longevity. I've only had mine for 3-4 months.

As far as speed is concerned, my cart (which has a 6" lift and 23" tires) went from averaging 16mph on flat ground and 18-19 mph on a slight decline, to averaging 22 mph on flat ground and 27+ mph on a slight decline.

This is with stock cables, controller, and solenoid.

Needless to say I was very pleased with the results. I was even more pleased with the level of customer service I recieved from the guys at PQ. They will literally stay on the phone with you for half an hour, discussing things and answering questions, if you wish.
