Re: Shock Cross reference
I googled gxt804d and is seems to be a gas workhorse.
Have you checked the parts diagrams for the replacement part number? Sometimes the number on the part is an assembly number and cannot be ordered. 1999-2000 workhorse parts diagram http://products.jacobsen.com/img/man...559-g01-gb.pdf |

Re: Shock Cross reference
Thanks SC...
I got the number from the 96 manual and also the shocks.. The Jacobson link has different numbers listed for it... The big issue I have in " just buying a set " is the cart manual you linked is a plastic body and the GXT804 is a marathon bodied metal diamond plate cart which adds a lot more weight. |

Re: Shock Cross reference
I've found emailing ezgo from their website tech support usually gets an answer in 24 hours or less.

Re: Shock Cross reference
Thanks for the info and PN on the Monroe .... The cart is lifted. I take it you're referring to the shock extenders on the rear? For a grand total of $83 shipped its worth trying them out.

Re: Shock Cross reference
The monroe 31125 and 31000 are a car shocks valved for a cars weight. They are also nitrogen filled which makes it worse IMO. I found they ride stiff on a golf cart.

Re: Shock Cross reference
I've put them on several Marathons over the years and the ride has seemed fine to me - if Your stock shocks are completely shot they'll feel a bit stiffer until You get used to the difference but on carts where I swapped them purely to eliminate the shock extenders, there was basically no difference except the Monroes *did* eliminate a little bit of the body roll at higher speeds (which I personally thought was nice)

Re: Shock Cross reference
Not to mention with all the weight that thing has cause of the all diamond plate body, a little stiffer shocks might not hurt.
