Par Car Lights not working
New member- I have a 2000 Par car 48V electric Eagle. It looks like the headlights, turning signals, and brake lights came factory equipped. Suddenly none of the lights work. Nothing. I checked the connections at the battery and they look good. I have a Par-Car manual for my cart but it does not show any lighting diagram. Is there any place I should check before I start tracing out wires to see where the problem is? Other than the lights the cart runs fine.

Re: Par Car Lights not working
Welcome to BGW, you might try looking for a fuse, could be a bad ground, maybe even test the light switch it self. Good luck

Re: Par Car Lights not working
Thank you. I could not see an obvious fuse. I guess I will start taking things apart. I'm hoping it will be simple and it is a fuse.

Re: Par Car Lights not working
I just had this problem. There are three fuses, one for each circuit. The headlight fuse is underneath the body and on the driver side, the others are right behind the battery pack under the seat. That last one was a real head scratcher to find.

Re: Par Car Lights not working
I have an issue with a 2005 par car. I removed all the lights and checked them on a battery and all were bad. I checked the voltage to the plugs on the lights and have 12 volts. When I plug in a new taillight to one side and watch the volt meter on the other side as soon as I plug the light in the voltage goes to 0. Unplug the light and it returns to 12 volts. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Re: Par Car Lights not working
Does it have a DC to DC convertor?

Re: Par Car Lights not working
Didn't get an answer on the DC convertor, but with no load (light unplugged) if there IS 12 volts, then it drops to nothing when the light is connected, the main keyswitch is most likely bad as half that switch is what controls the power to the DC convertor for the 12 volt light circuit.
