Amen my brother That looks great.Swingarm is a work of art.I like how you have it under the seat but was wondering about ground cearance issues.Mine is going to have to get a lift in the seating area but I figured that yesterday.please keep us updated. Thanks,Richie

Re: 600rr ez go build
I don't think your ground speed will be very high. I run a 20-14 tooth setup to a jackshaft. Then the cvt turns the ratio up more from there when it shifts. My top speed is around45. I'm guessing you would be around 20??

Re: 600rr ez go build
do you have or are you going to put a brace between the tranny and engine? seems like the engine would tq the tranny forward and slack the chain . looks good tho

Would a similar sprocket shown on this thread from dennis Kirk, give me that or do I have to go into the rearend and change gearing ratios? |

Re: 600rr ez go build
without an additional step up i don think you will get near 50.
use the cvt but you will need a 20-14 ratio engine to jackshaft. the cvt bumps it more from there. |

Re: 600rr ez go build
OK, so here's the deal... first thanks for the replies... an yes there is a brace from the rear end to the top motor mount on the motor to keep the axle from twisting (just didn't have it in the pictures yet). Throttle cable went right into the original ezgo throttle box in the floor and works great, will take pics if anyone is looking to do the same. I do need a longer passenger brake cable, any ideas out there??? I went out and drove the cart a bunch this weekend after hearing it might only go 20 mph... there's good and bad on that... the good is, when you put the gas down, the thing goes like hell... ran the cart in 6th gear... not sure about top speed but it was more than 20 for sure, 15,000 rpms is alot to spin the rear end. to be useable at low speeds for cruising, you will need the 6:1 gears in the rear... i have 13:1 now and it takes 8.5 turns of the motor to turn the axle 1 revolution. ordered gears last night and will update when i get them in... i am almost positive that cart will be faster than i care to go in a golf cart... but this is all a learning experience? and a fun challenge. Thanks guys...

Re: 600rr ez go build
I forgot to add about the seat, top of the motor is very close to the bottom of the seat, so i'm going to have to build a new one with a cavity in the middle for the air box... think i have it figured out though, and keep it stock looking... ground clearance is low, going to run 26 inch tires to help, tires will help with gearing also.
