Need Source for Square txt Dash Box
Got a hole in my dash and cannot locate a relacement. Looks like a radio or storage box. This is a 2000 ezgo txt. Found later
versions for 2015. But none for the older txt. Used would be good too. Any ideas? Pic shows the hole. A blank cover would also work. |

That is the golf ball holder. It looks like yours has been cut in the back. You will need to cover it or buy a new dash. If you buy a new dash the hole will still be there but would have more material in the back to keep balls from falling through.

You can buy black ABS plastic sheets on eBay. Just choose thickness and size.

Re: Need Source for Square txt Dash Box
Great info! Something like Riso did is where I'm headed. The box has indeed been cut out. But the flange is intact. I'm going to stick a radio in the hole.
There's about 3" of the box bottom still intact also. I think it had a radio in there. No speakers or pods...? It is nicely cut out for some purpose. The hole is 2 1/8 H x 7 5/8 W. Single din with the right face plate should work. Might get the cover and modify for a tight fit. Thanks! |

JRL you might want to get one of these too. Marine cover with a seal around it. About $20 eBay. Comes with tabs that break off to fit different radio sizes. Solves the problem of you not being able to cut the hole to fit your radio. (Since yours has already been cut)

Re: Need Source for Square txt Dash Box
The actual panel and flange are intact. Only the box top and some of the sides are trimmed off.
I may get a cover. Just bought a cheap single din JVC with all sorts of features that I'll never figure out...? Now to sort out speaker pods. Never ends...probably won't be able to hear it anyway. This shows what I'm working with. |
