Is that a white cable laying beside/in back of the solenoid?

Yeah, it's the cable that goes from the charging port to the batteries. I ended up booking that up to the battery.

A couple things. The way I see it you need that for the negative side to activate the solenoid. It won't engage without it.

Secondly, without a resistor I don't see how you can be getting voltage at both large posts unless your new solenoid is faulty.

Just trying to help a bit until Sergio gets you straightened out.

Your photo says the way it is now. Were you trying without it?

Please follow these tests exactly as outlined:

Test Setup:
Set Your meter to 200v DC setting.

Raise one of the rear wheels.

Place the FNR in forward.

Turn the Key Switch ON.

Test #1:
Place the meter negative probe on the pack negative battery post.

Place the meter positive probe on the Yellow wire connected to the small post on the Solenoid.

You should get 0v with the Pedal UP and 48v with the Pedal DOWN.

Test #2:
Place the meter positive probe on the pack positive battery post.

Place the meter negative probe on the Green wire connected to the small post on the Solenoid.

You should get 0v with the Pedal UP and 48v with the Pedal DOWN.

Please report Your results for these two tests so we can identify the source of problem.

Thank you guys for all the help!! i finally got it working after replacing the solenoid and the vglide. redoing some wiring and finally. the pedal makes the cart go and it wants to rock. I did find that i have a battery that is totally dead. no volts and it doesn't even bubble when the pack is charging. So i'll be getting one of those and i should be good!

How old is your pack? I wouldn't replace that bad battery with a brand new one if you can help it. Try to find one of around the same age and state of charge as the others. Putting a new battery in with old ones will quickly bring the new one down the the condition of the old ones.
