Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
The steering wheel being off-center is more than likely the result of a bent shock tower. This is more likely than a tie rod issue. Very common issue with the DS. If you squat down on the passenger side of the cart and take a look at the back of the shock tower where the steering box is mounted, it should be flat. Upon a frontal impact, they "twist" out of position the steering wheel becomes off-center. Just the slightest little bend while throw the steering way off. Take a look at the steering stops on the spindles. At full lock they should touch the back of the A-arms. If they don't, something is not right. Please post pics of the back of the shock tower if you'd like and I'll be more than happy to look at it for you.

Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
awesome thanks, i will check when I get back home. Another question, are the shocks on the lynx standard DS shocks with an extension or are they different shocks all together? All four are pretty well shot, so need to replace them. Thanksn again.

Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
Front shocks are the same. Rear shocks are the same, but with extensions added. I've probably built over 2000 of these carts in my lifetime. Ask me anything you want to know about it.

Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
Is there somewhere that outlines the whole process of swtching out the controller/solenoid/switch and cables? I thought it would be a little easier than it appears to be. Just trying to get an overview...detailed instructions would be nice too. Just thought someone must have documented this process before, but I cant find it. Thanks.

Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
The Alltrax Controllers come with instructions and pictures. The solenoid and cables are wire for wire. What comes off - goes back on. I know I am making it sound easy, but it really is.....

Re: first cart - 2000 CC DS 48v
Got everything sorted out and all installed. Getting like 20mph. So 7mph faster than stock. I was really expecting to be in the 25mph zone. I sent a log file to Scotty so he can see if there is anything funky. Anyone else out there installed the amd beast and alltrax SR48600?
