Default Where to buy extended shackles?

I’m looking to raise the rear of my 03 Club Car DS 2-3”. Where can I purchase some shackles?

David @ Revolution Golf Cars just supplied a member with extended shackles not to long ago, and they were reasonably priced!

Call, or email him!

I only needed 1 1/4" on my Precedent so I made a set in about 20 minutes and a few $. All I needed was some steel flat bar and grade 8 bolts (available at most hardware stores), bench vise, hammer, propane torch, drill and something to cut the flat bar. Remove the rear bolt on the springs jack up the back of the cart to your desired height, measure between the holes and start fabricating. I found that on my wife's cart there was 3/8" difference between sides that I was able to compensate for. If they ever slip I'll get them tack welded in place.

Shackles are suppose to swivel, when the cart bounces the spring flexes causing it to get longer then shorter. With them welded you're taking the spring out of the spring and something going to give.

Sb, it swivels at the top of that bracket. He just extended what was the original shackles.

Not if he welds them in place. I don't know about RXVs but most I've seen are the same on top and bottom, two rubber grommets and a bolt running though a pipe so they can't be tightened down, not metal against metal locked down with lock washers.

Top as in 5 inches above the bolts he added. I am pretty sure that y bracket is the original shackle.

kgsc is right. I was talking about welding the shackle extension to the original Y bracket if it ever slips on the bolts.
