I see where the curtis 1244 controller has several throttle types that can be programed. One of them being the 0-5k. I have a yamaha that has a 0-1k throttle type. Can the settings be adjusted so the 1244 works with a 0-1k throttle type?

Thanks!

I can't seem to get into Developer mode. When I try those values in the registry, it kicks me back to user. Developer isn't even an option in the software I am using. Could I be doing something wrong? I just wondered if it was possible to be able to quickly enable freedom mode.

When you're in developer mode its status doesn't show in the status bar or in the menu.

Has anyone adjusted the current calibrations in the Curtis software while in developer access. I can’t find much information about how or what it does. I have a controller that has a bad main contractor driver I believe. I can bypass it and drive the contactor(solenoid) low externally and the cart runs, but I get the Main driver On error and the cart slows down at what appears to be 75% output (Limp mode).

Since the controller is bad anyway, I wanted to play with the calibrations. It seems to me if I could falsely calibrate it by inputting a lower current calibration value than I am actually reading, it would output more current.

Am I completely misunderstanding what this calibration does?

Does anyone have any other solutions to bypassing my limp mode contactor error?

Thanks!

If that doesn't work taking the controller apart to replace the MOSFET is another option

It’s very strange the problem I am having. I’m not sure the contractor driver is bad. It will engage the solenoid. The solenoid clicks and stays on the “dropout” time defined. The throttle shows on the monitor increasing as it should. The foot, key, forward inputs all show on, but the cart doesn’t move. However if I externally place b- to the coil and the driver wire coming from the controller. The cart works but give the error. Any idea what would cause this? This is a 1266-5201 controller.

Not sure if this has been answered yet but yes this is what I've done on a number of controllers you said it to the zero 5K setting and then you have to change the maximum output setting I believe to 20% I put the exact settings I use in my curtis clone thread.

I believe you have to have the wiring and setting set up to match. On my cart the controller does not engage and disengauge the solenoid the pedal micro switch does.
