big block
Whats all this talk about a big block in a golf cart? when I first heard of one I expected a 454 chevy in one but its a Briggs and Stratton Vangaurd engine 2 cyl engine, what makes it a big block?Im new to these jacked up carts and Im repowering a Yamaha G1 colf cart I picked up for next to nothing.are these the best engine I can use for low end power off road?

Yep! Kits for Honda V-Twins and their clones are out popular also, people have also used Kawasaki. Koehler, Briggs opposed, diesels etc etc.Right now there are probably more performance parts for the Briggs engines. You will need a different axle in your electric cart, gas tank, wiring harness along with all the other conversion parts. Pretty steep hill to climb starting with an electric cart, but since you got it cheap, it can be done!
