I've used adapters before, they work well. They will space your wheel out a little farther 1.5" or so, but that may not be a deal breaker, just something to consider. For $60/pair seems like a cheap fix. The place I used the last time actually makes them to order with a quick turn around, got them in less than 2 weeks.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Is it the splines or is the drum itself different?

Where did you find adapters for that price? I called lugman and was quoted $400.

I can find 20x10-8 tires at Walmart or Lowe's (for garden tractors) that should fit on my existing rims as well as reasonable charges for mounting/balancing. The local EZGO dealer wants $140 each for the tires and over $200 all in to mount them which seems ridiculous to me.

If I can find adapters for $30/wheel then that's a no-brainer. I would prefer being able to upgrade the rims as well, and that wild cover all the bases. I can work with the offset.

Arrgh. OK, thanks. I do have access to a mill with an indexing head. I wonder if I could just drill the hubs for new studs in the 4x4” pattern? I could weld in the old holes but actually I don’t see any reason for that.

If I can find adapter/spacers reasonably then that’s the obvious choice.

I'm pretty sure this is where I got them. I didn't look to see if they have 5 to 4 lug adapters though.

What is the lug spacing on the 5 lug you have now?

Thanks for that. I will check and see what they have.

I’m 99% sure the current spacing is 5x4.5”

That is ford bolt pattern. You can get ford rims and put any tires on them
