I have had my VC460 for 4 years and have 250 something hours on it. It is still a hoot to drive my cart. My only problem was with the "Comet 780" clutch that came with it. It too is a china clone and not very good. It took 3 years on the 460 to wop it out on the inside. I did replace it with a real Comet 780 from Belt Palace. I was warned not to run it over 5,000 RPMs. I have added a lot of the suggested things like spark plug, high flow K&N air filter, Assie valve cover, and roller rockers. They all made a difference.

Mine came with a Genuine comet and I got the green springs and 68g weights from belt palace. I also run a pretty tight 1.25" belt with about 3/4" deflection. My secondary has a stock spring set on B-1. This whole set up really upped my speed at all the rpms ranges. The whole set up acts like a powerglide trans. Hard off the line with a quick shift over. The belt is the Dayco TXT2264.

I also put in green springs and different weights. That is when I found out it was a china clutch. The Belt Palace install kit had SAE threaded bolts and my clutch had metric bolts. Belt Palace confirmed that all real Comet clutches had SAE threads.

Yes but depending on the year you might have to use F/R reversed. i.e. use reverse to go forward. Hopefully some of the Club Cart guys will chime in as I have very limited experience with this brand.
