what would u guys recommend on sites to purchase parts when and if needed? my Q now is the oil what would u recommend and besides changing that what other fluids would need to be changed on it, and where is it located to drain and add....

my last q for the week HAHAHA... the engine needs a good cleaning if i covered the battery could i give it a once over with a power washer, any thoughts of cleaning the engine from all the crud that was left on there...

The G1 is a 2 stroke--oil and gas mix, so no oil drain plug on the engine. Not sure if the oil tank has a drain or not. Use 2 stroke oil for an air cooled engine.

thanks now i have read some people mix them together Gas/oil but also the oil Tank . which would would be better or is it up to the person which way they want to go.. for me i am tossed, i dont want to have to go to the trouble if mixing if i dont have to.. Also as i asked do u think power washing the inside would mess up the engine. theres alot of built up mud and crud all over and i think by power washing would do the trick...... thanks again for your help

Don't have a G1, but if the oil injection is working I would think that's the way to go. Use common sense with the power washer.

You can power wash the engine area, but don't get too close and don't spray any of the electronics and don't spray the carb or air intake.

As far as oil injection....the oil injector pump does wear and will eventually fail on an older cart. Alot of us with G1's eliminate it so that we don't seize the engine if it fails. If you mix your oil and gas it will eliminate the issue before it happens.

As far as ratios, there has been some debate over this. I run 80:1. I've seen guys running 50:1, 75:1, 40:1....it really comes down to whatever you feel comfortable with.

I did look in the service manual and it says the oil injection system mixes at between 300:1 and 150:1 depending upon engine rpm.

If you run your cart hard, use more oil. If you just putt around, use less.

I removed mine. But you can just disconnect the supply line and let the oil drain and leave it disconnected. No special tools required.

No, the pump will run but with no oil it will just not add oil to the fuel.
