battery cables
So after the latest melt down of 2 controllers a month ago on my 99 TXT I discovered the culprit was a loose cable to the back of the F&R switch from the motor .The cable pretty much fried in half at the terminal end of the F&R switch .Has anyone ever used a bit of Loctite on the nuts to make it will not come loose or do you think that would disturb the electrical current ?

Re: battery cables
Locktite might be a bear to work on later? I use lock washers.... or nylon lock bolts.

Re: battery cables
I like the Nylock idea ,just wasn't sure if it would hurt any current or not .So what would you think the reason would be for the manufacturer not to use the Nylocks ,just don't want to spend the extra 5 bucks or what ?

Also, nyloc nuts are not heat rated and could loose their ability to lock if there was a loose connection. |

Re: battery cables
So I guees that would be their best value for the engineering and not ours huh .Why does it always seem like they have the Nylock nuts on everything you don't want ,like a nut you can only make a quarter turn on when the bolt is 2 inches long .

Re: battery cables
Lock washers are the best thing to use. Use another wrench when taking it loose are tightening it up does wonders also.
