Did CC make frames for other cart companies?
I recently picked up 2 brand new DS frames from a guy about 45 minutes from me. He told me they were actually made by Club Car (or whoever is the parent company) for another golf cart company. He mentioned the name but it didn't ring a bell for me and I forgot what it was. He swears they are DS frames and they sure look identical to the wore out one I have. Just curious if the historians here can shed some light. I was sure happy to pick these pristine frames up and plan to put one to use shortly and then hold the other until I run across another DS project.

Some other carts were built on CC frames for sure.
Royal comes to mind immediately. |

You can buy new frames? I’ve been looking for one for my DS but haven’t found anything.

Thanks, Spoolx, I doubt you can buy new frames. The ones I got came from a guy who acquired them years ago. He had a project in mind but it never materialized. He had been storing them and decided to sell them. Luckily, I saw the add and bought both of them. I think I got a steal at $50 per frame.

Re: Did CC make frames for other cart companies?
I know some companies, American Custom Golf Carts (ACG), for example, took existing CC vehicles and customized them. My 2006 CC Precedent is registered as an ACG low speed vehicle.
. . . but you probably knew that already. |

Wow, I knew I got a good deal but now I realize how great a deal it was. Doesn't happen often but every now and then you find yourself in the right place at the right time. Wonder what the scrap value of my old frame would be? Pretty hefty chunk of Aluminum.

What is the serial number on the frames? I have one that has a "B" prefix instead of the normal "A" or "G" on a DS. Has another "ELMCO" serial number.
