2020 Club Car Onward li ion speed
I just got a new club car onward. Max speed is 19mph, all the carts around here gas and electric do around 22-23 mph. Is there an easy way to get a few extra mph out of it? Thank you!

Re: 2020 Club Car Onward li ion speed
Welcome to BGW. When I was shopping for an Onward, the dealer told me that there was a one-time change that could be made to get 24MPH but that was the max.

The LiOn model however likely presents a problem, because I'm not sure any of the controllers or motors out there will work with the OEM LiOn counterpart. So that means you may have to replace both. The AC motor in the LiOn cart could work with an AC controller like the Navitas, but another issue is the wiring harness etc... in the LiOn cart is new / different from the carts most of these parts are designed for. Pretty positive you can't get any more speed w/out major replacements unfortunately, but if you still want to go that route I'd suggest calling Navitas and see what they say about compatibility with their AC controllers. The other issue (and Navitas could probably tell you more) is that the LiOn battery / BMS may possibly communicate in some way with the controller in these carts, and if that's the case, all bets for more speed are definitely off until somebody comes up with a kit designed for it specifically. Good luck, and please post what you find out. |

Call David Hicks at Revolution Golf Cars 706-431-3917. My BIL has a 2018 or 19 Onward and has the speed limit raised. It took an OEM level programmer, but David will know for sure what is needed or what can be done.

Well shucks. Guess it will need an Alltrax XCT-48300 to get you further....

According to dave none of the controllers will work with it. He said he figures something will come out for it sooner or later however at this time there is nothing
