1990 Gas Club Car-How to hook up charger?

I hooked up my car charger cables this way-positive charger cable to positive battery cable and negative charger cable I clamped to the metal exhaust. Is this ok?

The surface rust on the exhaust is a potential loss of contact for the ground wire. Try using the aluminum frame sections or the ground post of the battery itself. Much more reliable.
