Default 48v precident

I am thinking of replacing my batteries in my 05 CC due to the age, I see some people say to thange to 8v, where do the extra 2 batteries fit? And is that the best bang for the buck?

have you ever run the 4 x 12s down to where you could not get home ?
it's how much you use your cart not what every one else does.

not sure of the price but 6 vs 4 not sure your saving any money either way !
maybe just run yours till they can't

Club Car sells a kit to swap to 6-8v batteries. Best advantage of 8v batteries is a longer run time. Kit comes with a new battery rack. You can use your original 48v charger.

To answer your question may I ask how long you've had your 2005 Precedent? Buy it new or used and when? Have the batteries been replaced before and if so how long did they last?

The kit to change over is as follows:

AM1275201 - Precedent 12V TO 8V Conversion Kit - $345
103368401 - Precedent Electric Battery Bucket Assembly - $71.10

Conversion package, when part numbers listed above are ordered together, includes all components and installation instruction necessary to convert a Precedent golf car to the 8-volt battery system. Components included are battery wires, hold downs, component mounting panel and shield, wire harness, charger receptacle, 4.0 OBC and safety decals. Batteries are not included !!!

Ditto, I've read all about this on this forum and have just decided to stay with the 12v setup until something causes me to change. My cart is a neighborhood and campground cruiser and gives us all the runtime we need. Sure, maybe it's not all we could have, but it has been all we need.

Also, if you have or are planning any 12v accessories, you'll have to deal with those somehow with 8v batteries. You'll either have to run a separate 12v battery or get into voltage reducers/converters, etc. as you won't have a single 12v source to go to anymore.
