Default muffler placement

Bought an EZGO workhorse a while back, and now my daughter and son in law are looking for a cart. I know of an 87 CC with an almost new engine that they might be able to pick up for around $1000. They will probably take this off road, though nothing real bad. My concern is the muffler placement on the CC vs the EZGO.

It seems to me if you go over a bump and the back end drags, the muffler is the lowest point on the cart.

Is this a problem, or can a person change muffler placement fairly easy?

Thanks.
