What Ampere Hour one have you decided on? Have you located a dealer near you? You can buy directly from Scotty B if you are willing to pay shipping.

Unless you are travelling cross-country on the cart, you really don't need any more than EB's 72.

Is a lithium charger a must or can something be reprogrammed to work. I read something about that.

Some aftermarket chargers can be configured for lithium. Most can not. However… Most lithium kits/batteries come with their own charger, or that company makes one recommended for their battery. I would recommend that option.

Pay close attention to this if you do decide to forge out on your own here for some reason. I initially bought a Lester for my build (understand that my batteries are not the norm) and was told it would work; smarter folks on here than me convinced me that it would not, and that was ultimately confirmed by Lester as well. I had a custom Schauer unit built for my cart in the end. There were not a lot of Lithium drop in options available when I did my build, so I am mostly to blame for the charger "issue", but it is worth mentioning.

Like CP said-most of these battery suppliers offer a charger so that makes it easier.

Are Allied and EcoBattery chargers interchangeable?

They look similar and the output is the same at 15 amps. The EB charger is 57 volts, not sure about the Allied output voltage.

One difference that I see are the cord. EB only has ring terminals for connection directly to the battery.

Allied has cart specific plugs that connect to factory charging ports. I don't see this as necessary as most people prefer to use the charger onboard.
