ezgo 36v cart for dummies
ive got an electric ez go cart in my shop. im not a golf cart guru by any means. this is the first electric cart ive ever worked on. batteries in the cart were depleted and they froze over the winter so it got a fresh set of batteries they show 37volts when hooked up. the cart will only go 5mph max. from what ive read it seems to be in some sort of limp mode but im not sure where to go from here. it is an f101 serial number is 1377171 the numbers on the controller are p/n73326g04 s/n 2071-p101784 and advice on what to check or test. i dont like throwing parts at things.

First i'd charge the batteries completely, 37v is below 70% SOC. It's important, especially with new batteries.

Re: ezgo 36v cart for dummies
If the reverse buzzer works put the cart in forward, release the brake and push the cart. You should hear beeping if the speed sensor is working. If nothing lock the brake, turn the key on, rock the fnr switch 5 times from N to F ending in N. Cart should beep 1 to 4 times telling you what chip is in it. After that push the pedal and listen for beep codes.

Re: ezgo 36v cart for dummies
Lol ok so lock the brake with the key off and rock the switch 5 times? It to over complicate things but when you say 5 times do you consider f to n one time or f to n and back to f one time? If that makes any sense.

Re: ezgo 36v cart for dummies
Not F.. Start in N, switch to R then back to N 5 times so the two movements count as one.
