Default New 76v roypow slow on takeoff?

I have a friend that has a stock 6 passenger 72 volt golf cart with standard lead acid batteries and DC motor. He just replaced the batteries with a new Roypow 76 volt battery. He thinks he has everything connected properly. The cart runs. But it’s very slow on take off. It pulls ok after it gets moving. What would cause this? Shouldn’t it pull quicker from start now than with the old FLA batteries?

Jim

P.S. It did reduce total weight by 413 lbs.!

I just learned something important.

It's a Textron Bad Boys Recoil IS. 4x4 (two motors and it's AC instead of DC

Stock it came with nine, 8 volt batteries.

Problem solved: It was a simple case of operator ignorance. I was telling him about the green on/off button on the Roypow battery. He said, yea, he has a remote one and it's on. I didn't know what he was talking about since my Roypow 51 volt does not have a remote on/off button. Turns out it's a remote eco-mode button and yes it was on. He thought about it and turned it off and wow! He says he now have 10 mph more top speed than with the old batteries and it will spin all 4 tires from a start. with 413 less pounds, he is thrilled and with the less weigh on the front it feels like power steering now. He's very pleased with the upgrade.
