I tried many different fuel pumps. The one that really worked out was the Holley 12-426 low pressure electric unit. I got tired of pumps that failed at one point or another. Fifty some bucks but this one is really bullet proof and can handle up to 300 hp. One way to NEVER have a fuel issue EVER again. I have one in both of my carts Both sled engines and single cylinder clones are self supporting except for the fuel system. Both only need reliable fuel delivery and a means to shut them off. No complicated and sometime expensive ignition systems as another plus. P.S. Great news that the lifan is a UT1. VERY simple ignition system.

Both of mine are wired to the starter pole of the solenoid. Dead simple.

I use the VC 24 mm carb with an adjustable main jet. BUT it also has the Shepard modified adjustable idle circuit. I will bump the thread. I was the poster boy on hand tool abuse All that being said it may work out fine for you as my engine was heavily modified when I switched. So maybe on a relatively stock engine the fixed factory idle circuit will be OK.

Shepard mentioned using the HRracing harness on the second page of his alternator sticky. You might want to add that to the order,
