Default RXV Pinions breaking

Hello
Is it common or just me ? I see a lot of RXV pinions for sale! Do they break often?
Reason i ask is i believe mine is snapped off . Motor runs but wheels do not . Have it on jack stands and before i take it apart i want to check with the Tribe and get their O pinions

All opinions welcome

I think it's not common... but this is the Yamaha Lithium section and here is a better place for your question:
