First photo below, I have more to share.

Marker lights on the cap in front and rear will help us be more visible. We are on a private one lane road but do share with cars and I often go up to the barn in the evening. Headlights and rear cargo light/backup lights have been upgraded to LEDs and they are quite bright.

Also barely visible is a blanket of 3M Thinsulate AU4002-5 over the motor and drive train. This reduced the high pitched whine tremendously. Easy 5 minute install using cloth electrical tape to secure the edges to metal tube frame at the corners and along the sides where possible. Thinsulate(TM) is hyrdrophobic so won't absorb water. Excellent noise and thermal insulation engineered for vehicles.

All the best,
Hein

More photos as promised.

Close up of 3M Thinsulate AU4002-5 noise control blanket. The noise reduction is impressive.

Dash update with hour and volt meters. Plus toot toot horn that will be fun for our grandson. We also have a more polite bicycle bell.

I used this remote control to turn on/off the marker lights. They come on with the key switch and can also be set to flash and dimmed by a percentage. We use these in our vans. The remote is stuck to the windshield with some 3M VHB tape. I love VHB tape.

The remote and lights before installing them.

Here is a night time shot of the LED headlights and new marker lights. I also added some conspicuousy tape on the side which is reflecting the flash of my phone. Good visibility.

I added a 120V cord reel and 2 hour timer to make charging more convenient. Below is a photo of how those components are arranged behind the seat. This way we can plug in anywhere and just set the timer for some length of time based on usage. The timer has an 'always on' setting if we need a longer charge time.

Timer parts and painted PVC electrical box that I stuck to the UTV electrical panel with 3M VHB tape.

Going to roll this way for a while. More projects going on...

All the best,
Hein

One more post...

As mentioned, we own a van upfitting supplies company and brought the UTV home in our 136 Dodge Promaster High roof cargo van. It rolled right in and fit perfectly. Photo below was from mid December when we brought the UTV home with no batteries, a jumble of wires and no idea if it would run.

All the best,
Hein

Your all set!
Let me know if you'd like the title changed, and a clean up!

Thank you. Perhaps an appropriate thread title would be "Hein & Kim's American Landmaster 36V UTV repair and upgrades"

No need to clean up. I appreciate all the posts. It would be helpful if I could go back and edit my own posts. I often go back and add more information and links as I have time.

All the best,
Hein
