well i,m sorry i helped waste your money on a solenoid but how many times have you heard me say that the cable could be bad under the insulation where you just can,t see it and if your not sure just replace it..............anyways i,m glad your back up and running..........................

Okay just to sumerize.......It was originally a welded shut solenoid. When the new solenoid was installed the cart didn't run because a battery cable from the F&R to the pack failed? Replaced the cable in Question and the solenoid = cart runs as it should ...... Is that right?

You got it. It made no sense to me, but the soleniod was welded shut (broke it open to see) and the cable was bad. I thought it would have been something other than cable sense it ran before I changed solenoid. Guess maybe cable broke inside when I removed batts to install solenoid.???? But that's water under the bridge and a lesson learned. Just glad to get it running 4 the weekend(deer season).

Old thread I know, but where was this solenoid? My cart has this issue, but the throttle works as it should, it just wants to move in F and R all the time..

Just in front of the batteries in the center of the vehicle.
