What is a 2gk spark plug? It should have NGK brand spark plugs. Only brand I’ll use. Part number BP4ES. If it’s got the Chinese spark plugs that come in the tune up kits that could cause a severe loss of power. They suck. Same for champion or autolite or any other brand spark plug. I haven’t been working on engines very long, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night the only spark plugs I’ve never had problems from are NGK and Denso. The rest are garbage IMO.

I’d also recommend an OEM belt, get one from a dealer. Get the double cogged HD belt if they have one like they use on the MPT’s and workhorses. Don’t trust Amazon or eBay, they often advertise as oem and send China junk, or use word trickery like “replaces oem part number xxxxxxxx” to make you believe it’s oem but it’s not. Their sneaky way of saying it “replaces” the oem part number.

Try the basics before assuming the worst. As said 150 certainly isn’t ideal but the engine is getting tired. I think 140 is service limit before rebuild

Ngk is what I meant, sorry for the typo. Just found out that new clutch is a 28 degree and I’ve got a “sports line 6098” belt. Maybe an oem pelt will make a difference?
