Cleaning a nasty cart
I bought my 99 DS 48v from a local course a couple of weeks ago and while the outside looks very clean, the underside of the body looks like they took it mud bogging more than once and there is probably 20 extra pounds of baking soda caked up in the battery compartment.
Before I just grab my pressure washer and start attacking the caked on dirt, what should I look out for? i know water and electricity don't typically mix well but I know it should be able to be cleaned without damage. Give me some tips and tricks please. |

Re: Cleaning a nasty cart
I would high pressure air hose and brush to clean around that area. Lots of places you could damage with pressure hose water.

Re: Cleaning a nasty cart
I would personally clean it all by hand without a pressure washer. Take soapy water and a rag and go to town. Also, disconnect the main battery leads and flip the run/tow switch to tow (if applicable). Once you've got it all clean, I would wait until everything is completely dry before turning on the cart.
