Re: 1996 CC build thread
i tried to take those screws out but they stripped so im gonna drill them out, i havent had time to drill them yet. im gonna let it soak overnight and see if that works too. if it still doesnt come when i get to it tomorrow then ill just cut it off almost at the seam and then i can get the motor off and ill just try and pry the leftover ring off of the differential

Re: 1996 CC build thread
WOOHOO!!!!! I got the motor off the crankcase...man, that was a feat. I cleaned up the splines on the gear and it looks good. now its hard to explain but.....on the motor, the piece that slides over the splines of the gear in the crankcase, there is a sleeve that is held on with a retainer ring. what is that sleeve? I can take pictures but its almost 1 in the morn here and so I cant right now, but does anybody know what im talking about?

Re: 1996 CC build thread
ok, im going to be getting a voltage reducer but im not sure one which one to get....
http://everythingcarts.com/p-1150-vo...2v-10-amp.aspx or http://everythingcarts.com/p-502-con...s-10-amps.aspx i will be running 6 8volt batteries. so if i go with the second reducer, i would hook it up to only 2 of the batteries? if so, id it better to draw from ALL of the batteries to keep their loads even? |

Re: 1996 CC build thread
Definitely go with a reducer that draws off of the total pack voltage..... anything else is no better than tapping 2 batts and will still be creating an imbalance... also size does matter. Go for as many amps as you can afford = 20amp or 25. That way you can safely add more gadgets later..... you know you will

Re: 1996 CC build thread
so what youre really trying to say is........go with this one:
http://everythingcarts.com/p-1151-vo...2v-25-amp.aspx and that would run the light kit with front and rear lights and a radio and.....what else could that handle? |

Re: 1996 CC build thread
I have seen several CC's with the motor stuck on the splines. Your lucky you got it off. Good luck with your build.
