1982 Columbia
I am looking for a gas cart for a project. I have found a 1982 Columbia 2 stroke that supposedly runs. It is in pieces for painting, and the guy now doesnt want to fix it up. OK guys, chime in and let me know what I would be getting into. It seems like a good price if it does indeed run. ($300). Thanks.

Re: 1982 Columbia
I am just not sure I am wanting to make it that much of a project. To be quite honest from the pictures he sent me I am very leary of the engine as it appears to be in really rough shape. Thanks.

Re: 1982 Columbia
It will be a fair deal if it runs at all for $150.00 to $300.00 but be careful for some parts may be missing and they are expensive. I bought one for $35.00 several years ago, looked bad, engine worn and full of water. After about $700.00 I had a very good cart mechanically but looked like crap. It still does. I have been through several and I still run the &700.00 look like crap cart. The reason it cost more than I expected was missing parts. Gas tank, clutch parts, and regulator. Had it been all there It would have cost me about $300.00 to $400.00. So just be careful and be aware of what is there before you deal. I would expect at very least a battery and ring job. (to be lucky). It will be a project but when you finish you will have a good cart.
