Default Cart no go go no mo

Hey everyone, clicked around to see of my problem was already solved, if I missed it I apologize.

Cart was running just fine one minute, nothing the next. I get the solenoid to click but no movement. I have traced wires to make sure everything is connected and the batteries are fully charged, reading over 6v each battery. Any thoughts?

Often it's motor brushes if the solenoid is clicking. Test the motor using some of the threads here. Other possibility is the controller has failed. If it's a series cart, the FNR switch is also a possible failure point.

Motor tested, functioning normally. Tested the controller using a youtube video. When putting meter on it, should give zero volts until pedal is pressed giving full pack voltage. But mine gives full volts before pressing pedal and actually goes down about 10 volts when pedal is fully pressed. I still get solenoid click when going between forward and reverse so that leads me to believe the switch is functional.

Did you measure across the solenoid when it clicks to make sure that it's really closed? Does your cart have a Series motor? (or Sepex)?

Makes a big difference. If it's Series, you will have a high current FNR switch that can fail and keep power from getting to the motor.

Solenoid looks good, tested continuity, comes down to 1 on the meter. Not sure how to tell what type switch.

Good chance that switch is the issue. Your cart looks to be a Series drive. Reversing is done by switching two of the wires going to the motor and the switch carries full motor current.

Yes, from looking at the wires involved it definitely carries full voltage. But if the solenoid clicks wouldn't that mean it is delivering power?

My cart is a Frankenstein cart put together by a guy that used to rent them out. Here is a little background on it from a previous post years ago: (the issue in the previous post was also never resolved)
