Default Somethings crooked…

So end of the season this one got turned in and well…

Dunno what the hell they hit, there’s not much in the way of obvious damage to the bed itself. Kinda thinking it must have been a brick wall.

After some heat, a scissor jack, and some persuasion of the 5lb variety, it’s about as close as it’s gonna be.

More to come…

So I take it you’re back to the camp again and left the brewery?

Can’t drink the products at the camp…

Yeah, I’ve been back full time at the camp since July. I liked the brewery gig, but there were some things going on at that place in particular that I wasn’t happy with. Things that needed to change that were brought up multiple times but never did change. And a lot of that got in the way of me doing what my job was supposed to be, so I had to call it quits on that one.
Plus it was over an hour drive from my house every day.

And I’m back to fixing carts now… among other things… like the zero turn

Almost went full meltdown…

It looks like they missed you at the camp … and perhaps stored up a few projects for you.

Who ever runs that mower also needs to know how to run an air hose 😳 … or a leaf blower !!

Glad to hear you’re well and back to what you enjoy :) looks like that mower has been living in the woods since pre-covid waiting for you to return

Oh they do. That was all cleaned out, and only had about 45 minutes of mow time cutting in all the nice dry leaves we’ve got on the ground now. Doesn’t take long to pack that thing full of leaves and grass and sticks. Final mow of the year, and he only had maybe another 1/4 acre to cover to be done. Almost made it!
It’s not the first time the mowers been on fire, but last time was several years ago. it does have an extinguisher mounted on board. But it did take on a little more damage this time around because he didn’t notice right away until it was shooting flames out past his feet.

I think it needs an onboard air tank and something similar to a cheetah tire bead seater mounted pointing at the deck. Then they can periodically flip a switch to blow off the deck

Before…

After

Cleaned up some of the rusty spots, patched the hole where the upright ripped out. Fixed the welds and straightened out the mount tab so it’s not a question mark anymore.
Got it painted too, so hopefully tomorrow it will be dry enough to put it all back together.

I do still need to put a couple quick welds on the seat back support and get that persuaded back to the correct shape, but it’s just about ready to go back together.
