Default Cylinder to Case Gasket ?

Replacing the gasket on my 3PG 1990 Marathon. Should I install the new gasket bone dry, use a sealant on it, or a thin film of RTV on the gasket? First time playing with these little 2 cycle engines so wanted to hear from the experts!

Thin film of atv won't hurt.

I go dry on them all, intake-exhaust-base-head-reed-carb etc. Just make sure the mating surfaces are clean and flat. On the case halves I go with no gasket using an anaerobic sealer. Good Luck
